Check an Image Search for "Drowsey Monkey" ... Google result number 2 is a picture of my foot with Drowsey's name on it! She posted it up here: "Something's A Foot ". That's the kind of blogging relationship we have. Lots of communication, and so many laughs in front of my monitor that I could never count. I once went for a stretch without posting, and Drowsey Emailed me to see if I was OK. That's a personal event to share with everyone, but I think it fits in here to help explain what kind of person she is.
The first time I was at her blog, I noticed a picture of a man's face camouflaged behind coffee beans. Well, it was hidden so well I couldn't find it. She told me were it was, and I used it on my blog too. We linked back and forth, and I have been a big fan ever since.
I love the Drowsey Monkey Blog because it always has posts that are easily commented on. You will find slices of life, oddities here on planet Earth, humor, and personal insight. Comments always get a response, so it is really like a gathering place for people all across the globe.
There are some bloggers that are just different - special diamonds that sparkle brighter than others. I have never met Drowsey, but she is like a friend to me. She claims to NOT be a "hugger", but I would give her a big ol` Hollydale bear hug if given the chance.
What is all this fanfare over? Well, besides being one of my favorite spots on the net, Drowsey will be celebrating her one year Blogoversary today (August 2).
One year around the sun, and 28,000 page loads.
Congratulations Drowsey, I will be around for the next year, and however long you still publish at your blog.

Speedy: A whole day off to spend with my cuppy new pal. What should we do together Olga?

Olga: Number one and number two ... I do not like coffee and cigars for breakfast like you Speedy. How about getting out of this shanty you live in?

Speedy: Sounds good. I'll fire up the old Buick, and get your car seat set up in the back. Minnesota traffic laws are tough.Speedy: ..... and what's wrong with Cubans?? Let's get some REAL food!


Speedy: Look at all of this chicken .... just look at it! This cart will be full in no time.

Olga: But you know I don't like chicken. I want MELONS!!!!




Speedcat: Now these look like some ripe n ready melons! Nice fit too .... I guess two will be enough to fill "you" up.



Olga: How about going to my Hair Salon in Bravado Township? You could use a trim, and I miss the old customers. They should get a real bang out of you, hair face.





Speedcat: Not bad, what do you think??

Olga: You look human. How about headed into town ... DOWNTOWN.

Speedcat: Ha haaa!!! Maybe we can get in trouble with the cops. It seems like where ever you go, the police are not too far behind. I'm in .... saddle up!! (err... strap up!)





Olga: Hold me up higher Speedy! Weeee!!! I wonder if we could get Boone and Ericson to have us on their radio show??? .... "Weeee!!!"






Downtown Minneapolis were Mary Tyler Moore Stood for the famous hat toss. HERE COME THE COPS!!! Jackpot :-) Chalk up another law enforcement tangle with World Famous Olga, The Traveling Bra.

Speedy: sorry ... I have a bunch of adrenalin flowing through my veins after being handcuffed and questioned by Minneapolis police in front of all of those laughing people.
